Lyrics for last.fm radio
Just another web utility, I’ve been missing…
(download at http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/36102 )
When you’re listening to last.fm radio, this script grabs info about artist/song title, queries http://lyricsfly.com/ for lyrics and, if successful, warm your heart. Pretty simple, isn’t it?
All You need is Firefox and:
- Greasemonkey: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
- script itself: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/36102

Hi there! :)
Unfortunately, your script doesn’t work while visiting e.g. http://www.last.fm/listen/user//personal - and that’s the radio I’m listen to the most.. :(
Maybe you can fix this? :)
Take care,
Martin..

this seems to work only for subscribers.
for non-subscribers, the right hand side of the player is occupied by an advertisement and the script apparently cannot display the lyrics at the same location by overlaying on the advertisement.

There is a new version with lyrics in the right panel. It works even for non-subscribers now.

New version (0.2) released.
With the latest radio engine, some layout items and page structure has changed. Thanks to Katasta for a quick notice.
So here You are… :)

New version (0.2) released.
Because of discontinued lyricwiki.org API, the script queries lyricsfly.com database from now.

The lyricsfly key used in the script is invalid. I get “wrong site id” error. I’ve tested with a temporal key and the script works but only shows 30% of the lyrics.
Im not sure if lyricsfly.com API can be used from greasemonkey script, i think it can only be used from the specific website for which is obtained the private key.
